Grace Community College successfully conducted a “Life Saver CPR Awareness and Training Program” for more than 200 college students during the NSS Camp held in Salem. The program aimed to equip young people with life-saving emergency response skills, enabling them to act quickly and confidently during medical emergencies.
Students from Government Arts and Science College, Salem – 7 actively participated in this impactful training session. The initiative focused on educating youth about the importance of Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) and the role it plays in saving lives during cardiac arrest, accidents, and sudden medical emergencies.
Training Facilitated by Grace Community College Paramedical Students
The CPR awareness and practical training session was facilitated by the dedicated paramedical students of Grace Community College. Through live demonstrations, hands-on practice, and interactive learning, participants were trained in essential life-saving techniques including:
- Understanding cardiac emergencies
- Recognizing symptoms of cardiac arrest
- Performing CPR effectively
- Basic emergency response techniques
- Importance of immediate medical assistance
At the end of the program, over 200 students received E-Certificates, recognizing their successful participation and completion of the training.
This initiative reflects the commitment of Grace Community College in promoting community health awareness, skill development, and youth empowerment.
Free Medical Camp for Community Welfare
As part of the social outreach activities of the NSS camp, a Free Medical Camp was also organized on another day for the welfare of the local community. The camp provided basic health check-ups, medical consultations, and health awareness guidance to the public.
Healthcare volunteers and students from Grace Community College actively participated in serving the community and spreading awareness about preventive healthcare and healthy living.
